Social anxiety or social phobia involves being afraid of social interactions. Such fear can interfere with your social goals, work objectives, or routine activities. Worrying about what others think of you can also lead to physiological effects including blushing, sweating, stuttering, or having a shaky voice. Social anxiety can also cause you to avoid situations with strangers or groups and prompt social isolation. Negative cognitions about others’ perceptions of you can undermine your self-esteem and ability to enjoy daily life.

In addition, I can show you new communication skills to help you feel grounded, assertive, and socially competent. These communication techniques are designed to help you engage in social activities in a comfortable way.

Anxiety coaching will teach you how to challenge your negative thoughts and replace them with more supportive thinking. With practice, your thoughts start to turn themselves around. Finally, I will show you how replace stressful feelings and physical tension to become emotionally centered and physically calm in social interactions.


As an anxiety specialist, I coach clients to help them overcome anxiety by online videoconferencing. I have been providing support for people with anxiety, panic attacks, social anxiety, and professional stress since 2006. Before becoming a life coach, I provided individual counseling as a licensed therapist using the evidence based practices of mindfulness and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) both in person and through telehealth. I found both in-person and online formats to be equally effective for helping individuals address anxiety and achieve their goals, and research verifies my personal experience. My preference for anxiety coaching stems from personal and professional experiences that overcoming anxiety can be most efficiently achieved without fixating on the past or adopting stigmatizing labels; instead, I prefer to mentor and teach individuals to embrace a presence-oriented approach that emphasizes practices to feel grounded in the here and now.
